Melanie Griffith Pleads for Support as Mother Evacuated from Big Cat Sanctuary Threatened by LA Wildfire

Melanie Griffith is calling for prayers as her mother is forced to flee a wildlife sanctuary endangered by a massive wildfire sweeping through the Los Angeles area.

Taking to Twitter, the actress urged, “Please keep everyone in the path of the #SandFire in your thoughts. My mom’s sanctuary, Shambala, is currently being evacuated.”

The rapidly spreading blaze has already scorched 22,000 acres, destroyed homes, and even engulfed the set of the television show Wipeout.
