Blake Shelton is living the good life on his Oklahoma ranch, but behind the scenes, he’s been busy with some exciting new projects. The country music star recently announced that he’s executive producing a fresh reality TV competition show called The Road, and it turns out Keith Urban will be a major part of it. Keith is set to headline the series, and it promises to be an incredible experience.
Keith Urban Is the Ideal Lead for Blake Shelton’s Show
As reported by Parade, Keith Urban will headline performances across Texas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee this spring, seeking fresh talent. Emerging musicians will have the chance to open for Keith, and the audience will play a pivotal role in selecting the artists who will join him on tour, traveling to the next city.
Keith expressed his enthusiasm for the project in a statement to Parade: “I spent much of my younger years playing in small, often gritty bars, sometimes performing just for the bartender. So, I really connect with the concept of putting artists in real-world situations to test if they’ve truly got what it takes.”
He continued, “Paying your dues isn’t easy, but there are aspects of this business that can’t be taught—like creating the perfect set list, knowing when to extend or shorten a song, or engaging with the crowd. Touring has always been my passion. It’s where everything comes together, and it’s the only true path for anyone who dreams of being a performer.”
Blake Shelton’s new show, featuring Keith Urban, will be making its way through Texas, Oklahoma (Blake’s home state), and Tennessee.
